Complete the first launch

Follow this procedure inside Exegis, pause after each action, and verify the result before moving forward.

Open Genesis 1, identify the major panels, then restart Exegis to confirm the first-run setup was saved.

    Open Exegis from the Start menu

    Open Exegis from the Start menu. Allow the first launch to finish creating its working folders and loading bundled resources.

    Confirm that the main Bible text, book selector, chapter selector, and study panels appear

    Confirm that the main Bible text, book selector, chapter selector, and study panels appear. Wait a little longer if indexes are being prepared.

    Choose the initial Bible and open Genesis 1

    Choose the initial Bible and open Genesis 1. Verify that the chapter text renders and that verse numbers are selectable.

    Open the resource area and confirm that the bundled commentary and dictionary entries are visible

    Close and reopen Exegis once

    Close and reopen Exegis once. A successful second launch confirms that the initial settings and local data were saved.
