The story behind the software

Why Exegis exists.

A free Bible study tool shaped by scholarship, ministry and the practical realities of preparing, teaching and sharing Scripture.

Exegis began with a practical question: why should deep Bible study feel fragmented when Scripture, commentary, language tools, books and personal work all belong to the same conversation?

How the project started

The project grew from a desire to create a modern, connected Bible study environment capable of receiving familiar resources—including commentary modules—while presenting them with clearer typography, working Scripture links and a flexible layout.

Its direction was refined through real study needs: formatted commentary that remains readable, Scripture references that open in the active Bible, books and topics that retain their structure, resources that can be installed independently, and a study experience that travels between Windows and Android.

About Dr. Lucas D. Shallua

Exegis is founded and directed by Dr. Lucas D. Shallua. His academic and medical background is joined by pastoral and missionary experience, work as an author, business experience and public speaking. Those fields share a discipline: complex knowledge must be accurate, organized and useful to people in real situations.

That combination shapes Exegis. It is intended for pastors and missionaries, teachers and students, authors and speakers, small-group leaders and readers who want to understand the Bible more carefully.

Bible study for serious readers

Exegis brings Bible reading, KJV+ Strong’s numbers, linked commentaries, dictionaries, word study, notes, books and optional AI assistance into a coherent workflow. Its modular approach lets each reader choose the resources that fit their calling and context.

The worldwide vision matters. A useful Bible study app must remain readable on a phone, capable on a PC, respectful of slower connections and adaptable to future languages and licensed resources. Optional AI can assist study, but Scripture and trusted resources remain central.

Ownership and the road ahead

Dr. Lucas D. Shallua is the sole copyright owner of Exegis from 2026 onward. The project will continue to develop its free core, public release system and resource library, with room for future commercial modules where permissions and licensing allow.
